What to look for if you're leaving Outlook

Most people who use Outlook rely on more than email: a calendar, contacts that sync to their phone, and meeting invitations that just work. Every provider on this list includes a calendar and contacts. If you want them in your phone's own apps, look for CalDAV and CardDAV sync on each provider's page.

Meeting invitations are sent in a standard format that any calendar can read, so you can still accept invitations from people who use Outlook, and they can accept yours.

Outlook.com is paid for by advertising, and so are some of the providers here. If that's why you're leaving, my Gmail alternatives list only shows providers that aren't funded by advertising.

28 providers. Last checked 23 October 2026. How I score. Commission never changes a star or the order.
