Who runs this email address?
Type an email address and I'll tell you which provider looks after it, how it compares, and how to move if you want to. It works for work addresses on a company's own domain too.
How I work it out
First I check the part after the @ against the 268 address endings I know, such as @btinternet.com for BT or @hotmail.co.uk for Outlook.com. Then I look up the domain's mail servers (its MX records), which say where its email is delivered. That's how I can tell, for example, that a company's own domain uses Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
The mail servers show who handles the email today, which isn't always the brand on the address. Verizon addresses, for example, are run by AOL, on Yahoo's servers.
