Email provider news

I’ve got a little under a month to set up my mail somewhere else but I cancelled renewal today, you won’t get my support anymore.

I really hope Proton changes enough to make me return some day, but for now, I don't feel like Proton is for me anymore

Seeing all these posts about people canceling their subscriptions makes me wonder about the lifetime members. Since lifetime accounts (Inlcuding Proton Pass + SimpleLogin) are a one-time upfront buy, you can't exactly "vote with your wallet" anymore.

Microsoft has confirmed that an update to Microsoft Edge 156 stopped some users of New Outlook from opening email attachments. Thank you for being a Ghacks reader.

Been with proton for many years now but after Andy has shown us he doesn’t value security, I’m looking for a new home. All I need is to continue using email aliases and a VPN with port forwarding. Never used their drive (Linux user), nor their calendar, password manager, etc. What are my options?

It should be stated, the community’s issues are not with the employees of Proton, but with the management and its recent practices. The employees who are working hard, perhaps under less than ideal conditions, are not the target of this frustration. We have to be pro-consumer, but also pro-worker in our complaints.

I’m a little lost on what the exact problems are with Proton. I am a long-term subscriber to multiple products and I’m having no issues whatsoever If somebody could fill me in on what this recent drama is, I would really appreciate it.

Hey everyone, I just signed up for Hostinger a couple weeks ago. I hate godaddy and didn't want to give them anymore business. I set up a wordpress sight without a domain and already had an issue with a chrome red alert when i clicked on home in the wordpress admin page.

If I drop down to free and enable email forwarding, will it stop working? Can't find anywhere if it says this feature is paid only.

It’s not too late, seriously. Head to pics.new to find your costume before the weekend! It depends on what type of email it is. Information blocking will likely occur if the email contains the result that the patient is requesting or if you have a policy in place not to release results until the provider reviews them first.

HIPAA’s preemption rule is at 45 C.F.R. § 160.203. It says a HIPAA standard that is contrary to a state law generally overrides that state law, unless an exception applies. The most important exception is for more protective state laws.

Paubox Forms can now import flat PDFs. Upload the intake or consent form you already use and get a HIPAA compliant draft to review and publish. Most practices already have the forms they need. The new patient intake, the consent form, and the health history questionnaire are usually sitting in a folder as PDFs.

Downvote me to hell if you will, I don't give a shit about the hivemind, but Proton is a great suite made of great products, and I don't give a fuck if the CEO has babies for breakfast and puppies for dinner. Andy Yen, you have my support. Bring a pussy CEO that fucks with the product and I will churn.

Edward Dubrovsky, a 54-year-old Canadian, was arrested in Pennsylvania on October 8 and faces extortion conspiracy charges in Texas.

Andy Yen has become a liability for the future of Proton. His consistently controversial posts, lack of care while implementing AI, and his attitude towards employees is more than concerning. Proton is supposed to be a privacy and security focused company.

Mods don't want jokes and serious discussion.

Except for the VPN why would I pay for a thing I can do myself by paying one month in a twenty dollar subscription and post it for free with a different name? We love Proton because it's very confidential and secure but if anyone can create it for nothing it's more secure to have my information in my pc.

With everything happening at Proton and within the larger tech space, I had a few questions. What is Tuta's view and use of AI in it's products and services? Is Tuta firing (laying off), "reinterviewing", or in anyway hurting their employee over AI? And yes, I gotta ask, are you're executives "tech bros"?

So the proton news are not bothering me really, I'm posting here since this would get banned on the r/proton subreddit immediately but since so many people are jumping over to tutanota I'm thinking if I should do the same and of course there is multiple things to factor in: the encrypted email of proton isn't the only…

Monitoring more activity does not produce better monitoring, speakers said at a patient privacy symposium last week.

Gmail has unique appeal

Researchers linked a September case to two earlier incidents in February and June through matching settings in the attackers' tools.

Is it ready?
