Email provider news

Proton's Black Friday deals give you a chance to save on its VPN or alternatively, on its entire suite of privacy-first tools.

I just got a pretty good phishing email. I thought it was slightly off and started looking at the headers. ultimately I gave the headers and email content (HTML) to Grok to analyze. Clearly phishing.

Paid Proton Unlimited subscriber, migrating my business email off Google Workspace. My custom domain shows as VERIFIED, and my existing business address appears under Identities & Addresses — but it's labelled "Sign in only" and classed as an external address.

This is a new email with correct subject and question. I set-up a free mail and drive account but realized I defeated the purpose of using PM as I included last names (mine and spouse) in the user name/email address (just used initials in display name which is changeable).

Have been dealing with my email being undelivered to staff of New York City school system. Apparently they’ve banned the use of Proton across the entire domain and have yet to confirm a reason.

For years, Google promised it wouldn’t use your emails, files, and photos to profile you for ad targeting. This month they gave themselves a way out of that promise. On October 16, Google changed a sentence in its privacy policy that said your Gmail, Drive, and Photos content would not shape the ads you see.

Google’s privacy policy now lets connected Gmail and Photos data shape Search ads. Here’s how to disconnect Personal Intelligence — and why that’s still not enough.

I went to snooze an email this morning and the option is missing. I checked on the web app, Android phone app and the Ubuntu app. I hope this is just an update glitch. The option was there a few days ago and I used this option in Gmail all the time. Anyone else not see the snooze option today?

Set up powerful project tracking without any project management software. Key metrics, methods, and free tools included.

I have an older OS version due to the fact that I use many programs which only work on this platform. I think it's a small ask that my email provider accept this. Proton mail stopped its support for the app on Catalina a year ago and I have to do my emailing in the browser which just sucks so bad.

I started using Proton Mail in 2025, and took the 2 year subscription plan as it was cheaper. Now, I'm checking the renewal I will have next year, and I want pay for 24 months again for saving some more money.

So I ran out of Gmails I can attach to my phone number. Went searching for an alternative to Gmail so I can compartmentalize my emails. This landed me to Proton. The Proton Unlimited says 15 email addresses. Doesn't really explain how that works. Do I just make a free Proton email when i want to use one of the 15?

Hi! I just acquired 2 Yubikeys to enhance my account security (5C NFC and 5C Nano). I have added both to my Proton account successfully (I can see them both listed in settings), however I cannot authenticate using the 5C Nano model.

I assume you are using iOS or Android now, and you STILL have your pre-Proton contact service installed. e.g. Google Contacts is connected to your Contacts app. Now use your non-phone computer to access the Google Contacts app, download the CSV file, and use this adapter.

For those that do a lot mail being limited to only viewing one mail at a time is a real pain. Having the calendar as tab would be a bonus. Tabs for viewing multiple emails is something that I would expect if you are going to use the client in a business environment.

So I have a client with a hotmail address. I sent him some files and got the following rejection email: Access denied, sending domain PROTON.ME doesn't meet the required authentication level. The sender's domain in the 5322.From address doesn't meet the authentication requirements defined for the sender I tried with…

Curious if you use Grokbot or something similar. What GitHub repo did you use for the bridge? Are you comfortable with the security and encryption issues? Edit: Meant to say try bot with Proton Mail.

I used the external encryption option on Proton Mail Web along with an alias forwarding address, to send an email to a Gmail ID. The email itself appears to be coming from the alias on Gmail. However, when I click on the "Unlock message" button on Gmail, the website it directs me to, shows my Proton ID in the from…

Just had to share that I'm funneling all my mail from three accounts into ProtonMail, and it is excellent. I like the security. I'm also using Proton VPN and Proton Pass. Pass is the best password aggregator out there, no question. I like the option to have an extra numeric passcode to access.

In Proton calendar, I want to see the next few upcoming weeks, not just the calendar month that cuts off on the 31st. The web app already supports multi-week views through its URL, so Claude and I built a tiny extension that opens it that way automatically Firefox: Source: If you don't want an extension you can also…

Can I run a search like Email contains label (work) And Email does not contain (sales) If not I would have to create labels for each type of email I get to separate: sales support colleagues general etc

I’ve been a paid proton user for a very long time and can’t imagine using a different email service. Please update your app so that it does not render as a tiny little window on the Duo main screens.:)

I had a robust system of filters and folders to sort all of the newsletters/updates/promotions/etc that I turned off to use Category View, but right now the system doesn't learn when I move emails out of Primary into different categories, so my Primary inbox is always really cluttered with lower-priority emails.
