Just like everyone else I've also left Proton after a year given the AI drama from the CEO Like I'll be real the company needs a new leader especially as I'm not gonna use something with AI written slop in the code

Very disappointed with Proton tbh. With a CEO like this, what's the point of using their services?

Companies have gotten too comfortable with just waiting out the storm and being absolutely deaf to all criticisms. Proton's whole USP was their ethics and privacy and frankly I put up with their subpar products for 4 years ONLY because of that.

I was planning to transfer everything over to protons services as they seem kick ass for the things l want. But after hearing the latest news about them. I'm starting to seriously question my future plans and decisions. Any better different services out there?

The on-going controversy with Proton highlights an important truth: you MUST use a personal domain for your personal email. Email providers come and go - some crash out due to financial realities, and some turn out to have toxic ownership/management that you no longer want to support and/or tolerate.
