Email provider news

I know, I know. The user base is small. However, would be nice if Tuta used the bigger screen a bit better when unfolded and the front screen is not taking the space it could as well. Is that something worth looking into at this point for Tuta?

I'd really like to use Tuta email, but. I filled in the username and password to create an account and got a popup that said there was some problem and I should try again. When I tried again, I was told that the username I used for the initial attempt was unavailable even though it was available on the first attempt.

Hi opened a free Tuta mail account to see how it functions - cant send mail as under a security review for some reason. Was thinking of the paid plan and moving my email accounts over but its now 24 hours since signing up and still cant use it. any idea how long it takes to actually review an account?

Will Tuta servers be able to support the influx of former Proton users without affecting their current subscribers? Will the influx slow down future improvements?

Even the spam that automatically goes to the spam folder sends push notifications.

We need to restart the servers for updating them with a non-critical security patch. This will lead to a downtime of approx. ten minutes. You can check the availability of Tuta here: We apologize for the inconvenience and we try to keep the downtime as short as possible.

In fact, so much has changed since Tuta, formerly Tutanota, was started and we couldn't be more proud. None of this would be possible without your support, so this is a thank you from us to you! ❤️ Take a look at our development steps 👉

I understand that Tuta made the decision to use only the relatively flimsy TLS encryption for mail sent outside Tuta. Of course this sounds bad, but after thinking about it, it's not really is it? Even if we used the fancy quantum safe encryption E2E, it's just going to get decrypted at the destination anyway right?

With everything happening at Proton and within the larger tech space, I had a few questions. What is Tuta's view and use of AI in it's products and services? Is Tuta firing (laying off), "reinterviewing", or in anyway hurting their employee over AI? And yes, I gotta ask, are you're executives "tech bros"?

So the proton news are not bothering me really, I'm posting here since this would get banned on the r/proton subreddit immediately but since so many people are jumping over to tutanota I'm thinking if I should do the same and of course there is multiple things to factor in: the encrypted email of proton isn't the only…

Is it ready?

So I have a tutamail account which I use on the android tutamail app, however after making a second email for work/business use I can't sign into to both at the same time as you typically can in other email apps.

Hey everyone, Little confused on email alias, I see you can use addy.io to create email alias and have them forward to your email, from what I’ve read you can also do this with your own custom domain?

What goes into this invoice data box on Tuta app?

Can you please, please, please reassure everyone who is about to jump ship from Proton after the 404 media revelations linked below that you are not like Andy Yen, and that Tuta will not become the kind of company that Proton clearly is right now? Many thanks.

I've been trying to get back to my account for days, and at the first attempt I get: Number of allowed attempts exceeded, Please try again later. I waited for a whole day, same issue on first attempt, then again. I'm logged out of my Discord and others and Tuta won't let me back in and offers no solution.

Hello, I'm using a lot of different email addresses, some of them active, others not. Managing this gets really tedious when there's no way to filter or at least sort this view. This seems like an incredibly easy thing to fix, could you please do so, thanks.:)

Hello everyone, I am looking for assistance with recovering my Tuta Mail account, which I used for a gaming account where important personal data and progress are stored. Unfortunately, I have lost access to my Tuta Mail account and do not have my two-factor authentication (2FA) code.

Hi, I'm not sure if this feature has been requested before, but one thing I miss from my experience with evil big tech mail is the Star button that allowed to instantly star important mails. I know Labels is kinda the same thing, but sometimes I wish it was just one button action like gmail's star instead of 3…

I recently created an email id in tutamail and unfortunately forgot to save the password & recovery pass. I haven't configured any recovery options as well. BUT I have it logged in my android phoone so i can still access the emails. Is there any way i can rest my password?

hi - i just tried to re-login to my account and im being told the credentials are wrong, but i use a password manager, so that is surely not the case i had sent an "approval request" email from the account last night, as suggested in the welcome mail. is there a soft limit to the character length of your password?

Plans revealed by the NDR and WDR show that the German Federal Intelligence Service wants to pay Google 500 million euros to set up a cloud system, called the ND-Cloud, through which information up to the classification “Secret” can be exchanged electronically.

I am aware of but I am not quite sure what order I should set things up to ensure that my mail keeps flowing. I have custom domain, and at the registrar it is set up with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC for my Proton mail account. Now I want to migrate to Tuta (Revolutionary plan) and bring my custom domain with me.
