What is Elementor?
Essentially, Elementor is a page building plugin for WordPress, it makes building pages, blog posts, pop-ups and template pages a doddle.
It’s a drag and drop visual editor, you simply drag sections into your page, resize, add content and publish You can install the plugin and be up and running, building professional looking pages in a matter of minutes. As Elementor comes with ton of ready made pages and section templates you can start with a blank page and just drop in one of their designs with a couple of clicks. It really is that simple.
So for those looking kick start their website, Elementor gives you everything you need to create fast, professional looking, sexy web pages.
Why do you need a page builder when WordPress comes with it’s own editor?
Good question, and in fairness, the WordPress default editor does an excellent job, but it’s fairly basic and quite difficult to use to build modern looking content. Using a page builder like Elementor gives you the power tools you need to create pages you could only dream of making before.
I’ve tried a few page builders, like Divi & WPBakery and both are decent plugins, but Elementor has the edge for me. It’s the only one I could use without consulting documentation, I would also say it was the most intuitive of all the ones I have tested in the past.

Elementor Now Makes Popups
Love them or hate them, pop-ups help generate sales, signups and conversions. Use Elementors Popup Maker and simple drag and drop interface to design professional eye catching popups.
Is it worth upgrading to Pro?
Elementor is free, but the free edition does have limitations, especially when it comes to the bundled page and section templates.
A huge benefit to Elementor Pro is the support you receive, i’ve tested it and the support is fast and comprehensive.

Should I upgrade to Pro then?
It’s a personal choice really, but for the small price I think it’s worth it. Plus, I don’t like having restrictions when using plugins. The money is worth the extra functionality and templates. Elementor Pro pricing starts at only $5 per month for a single site, which I think is worth every penny.
You can easily upgrade/downgrade between plans.
I’ve Steered Away From A Full Technical Review
There are hundreds, if not thousands of reviews out there for Elementor, I did contemplate writing a full review and then decided against it. The main reason it that you can try it for FREE. There are tons of how-to videos on Youtube which will show you everything from getting started all the way up to the advanced stuff.
